Ty Dolla $ign joins a plethora of artists who have released protest songs in the wake of several shooting deaths involving both civilians and police officers. The mournful “No Justice” features Ty Dolla’s brother, Big TC, who is currently incarcerated.

On the song, both Ty Dolla and Big TC speak out against police brutality in the wake of the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

“They say that we’re all created equal,” yearns Ty Dolla. “But ain’t nothing about us equal / You know that there could never be justice when killing us is legal.”

Big TC, who has a soothing baritone voice, adds on the chorus, "I see that s--- is getting worse, before it's getting better / It's like my people got a curse, can't nobody stay togehter / I watch them gun my people down, plus we are killing off each other / No, no, no / Ain't no justice for the brothers."

In addition to the song, Ty Dolla $ign is among a bevy of artists who are headlining the #SchoolsNotPrisons concert series, which is calling for for an end to massive spending on incarceration. Fellow rapper Pusha T, R&B singer Gallant and others are also on the tour.
