Hip-hop hopefuls, listen up. Rapper Trina -- the most consistent female MC of all time, according to XXL -- producer Rockwilder and video director X are launching 'America's Next Top Rapper,' a reality series that begins filming next month.

The first stop will be Boston on Dec. 3, when the three judges will decide which lyricists make the cut. Footage will be compiled during auditions for the show's pilot.

Once the Beantown episode is in the can, HipHopDX.com reports, producers will use the episode to secure sponsorship and distribution and plan for additional spring and summer talent searches in Baltimore, Raleigh, Tampa, Houston, Little Rock, Detroit, Cleveland and Oakland.

Costs to enter the competition are $200, but the winner gets $20,000, as well as a distribution deal with Universal Music, a track produced by Rockwilder, and a video shot by X.

The contest is only open to solo artists over the age of 16. Registration information is available at americasnexttoprapper.net.
