Travis Scott received an honorary key to his hometown of Missouri City, Texas, at a ceremony on Saturday (Feb. 10) as part of the city’s Black History Celebration of Culture & Music.

In addition to the key, Missouri City Mayor Allen Owen proclaimed Feb. 10, 2018 as “Travis Scott Day.”

The Grammy-nominated producer was recognized for his accomplishments in music and repping his beloved hometown. Scott was on hand to receive his award. His good friend, Houston Rockets star James Harden was also there to celebrate with him.

"This is better than any award show I've ever been to," he told the crowd (via ABC 13 News).

Afterward, Scott treated fans to an impromptu concert.

It’s been a busy time for the rapper-producer. Last week, Scott and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, welcomed their newborn daughter, Stormi, into the world. The 25-year-old hitmaker also appears on the Black Panther Soundtrack, which was just released on Friday (Feb. 9) to rave reviews.

Congratulations to Travis Scott!
