Much like another artists who we won't name (ahem, Frank Ocean) Travi$ Scott was supposed to drop his sophomore album, Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight last Friday (Aug. 5). Clearly, that didn't happen but the Houston rapper doesn't want you to fret, he says the album is definitely coming on Aug. 12.

Travi$ said the anticipated project was delayed due to "technical difficulties." But no worries, the rapper is having a .Wav Party hosted by Apple Music on Aug. 12 to celebrate the album's new release date. The announcement came last night (Aug. 8) via Instagram. And while there's no official explanation on what exactly will go down at this .Wav party, there will apparently be an installation by artist James Turrell, whose work primarily involves "light and space." Travi$ revealed previously that a short film will accompany the album, so perhaps that will be shown as well.

In addition to Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, Travi$ has said that he has another project in the works, Astroworld, which will drop not long after this one. The project is assumedly an ode to his hometown, Houston, since the baseball team shares the "Astro" name and the now defunct Six Flags was also called AstroWorld.
