Toya Wright Continues to Mourn Slain Brothers—Shares Emotional Words on Instagram
Reality star, Antonia "Toya" Wright is currently mourning the devastating loss of her two brothers Rudy and Josh Johnson. According to the New Orleans Police Department, they were pronounced dead at the scene after being shot multiple times inside of a car in the 7th Ward area of New Orleans.
Since the news broke about her brothers' deaths, Toya has been coping with the support of friends, family and celebrities who expressed their condolences via social media. Toya has also went on Twitter and Instagram, expressing her confusion and sadness.
After initially posting, "Help me lord. I will never understand this #stoptheviolence,” the reality star was up in the very early morning (Aug. 1), writing, "I can't sleep" on Instagram along with sharing a picture and video of her brother.
K. Michelle tweeted her condolences when the new broke.
“I would DM u but we blocked each other long ago. I just received word of ur loss. Even though we’ve never met my heart hurts 4u. Nobody deserves that type of pain. We may never be best friend but U are my sister in Christ. I pray for u and your whole family. Continue 2fight for 4ur healing. I understand sleepless nights, but the best thing is the sun comes up in the morning. No beef or hate in my heart 4 you. Only support and prayers up. Please know that God has a purpose on ur life. Stay strong.”
Wright’s tragic loss comes on the heels of filing for divorce from her husband of five years, producer and Marriage Bootcamp star, Mickey “Memphitz” Wright. Prior to their marriage, Toya was married to Lil Wayne from 2004-2006 and they share a 17-year-old daughter, Reginae Carter.
