Last year, TLC asked fans to help fund their final album through a Kickstarter campaign and it was hugely successful. The group raised over $400,000 with the help of more than 4,000 backers. Since then, fans have been wondering when the album will finally be released.

On Thursday (Oct. 27), TLC released two brand new singles, “Haters” and “Joy Ride” from the project. The songs mark the first time the surviving TLC members - Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas - have recorded music together since the passing of Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes 14 years ago.

From the sounds of it, TLC hasn’t lost a step. “Haters” is a pop track where Chilli and T-Boz address the problematic issue of bullying and shaming on social media. The other song, the anthemic “Joy Ride,” has a better chance of making waves on both pop and R&B radio. Over a piano-driven groove, the dynamic duo reminisces of fun times they shared together.

As for the album, it's coming. According to Paste Magazine, TLC's manager Bill Diggins says 15 songs have already been completed for the project.

Meanwhile, "Joy Ride" currently sits at No. 1 on Apple Music in Japan (TLC's biggest market and fan base).
