Part of Tinashe's charm is her airy vocals and leanings toward atmospheric sounds. She's also pretty versatile. Before turning up to the excellent '2 On,' the singer had a moodier vibe on her 'Black Water' mixtape. 'In the Meantime,' the second peek at her upcoming debut, has elements from her mainstream energy and her more sultry approach.

A few questioned what '2 On' means, but there aren't too many questions to ask on this record. Over T-Minus' playful key riff, Tinashe makes it pretty clear what she wants: "In the meantime, f--- in the meantime/ I need ya, but just for tonight boy." She's blunt, but somehow doesn't come off as raunchy.

There should be some more heat from her 'Aquarius' album since it features some of music's top producers, including Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Mike WiLL Made It and Detail. The LP is expected to arrive in September.
