Tinashe Debuts ‘Aquarius’ Tracklist

This fall, album releases are stacked. Tinashe's upcoming debut LP joins Kanye West, Flying Lotus and Lil Wayne for some of the season's most anticipated arrivals. The singer's 'Aquarius' project is dropping on Oct. 7, but the tracklist has been made available more than a month beforehand.

It's hard to assume much judging off a tracklist alone, but there's a sense of ambition here. There are 18 tracks total -- much more than the standard -- and the features are the ones you've heard already. ScHoolboy Q ('2 On') and A$AP Rocky ('Pretend') are the only guests, but their presence is small compared to Tinashe's performance on the respective tracks. So it looks like the Los Angeles native will go solo to make a splash with her debut.

Tinashe has a pretty good ear for beats, and 'Aquarius' has producers capable of providing some heat. Boi-1da, Stargate and DJ Mustard earn production credits here.

R&B has quite a few big releases with Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko and Jennifer Hudson delivering projects in the coming months. Tinashe arguably has the most promise with her mainstream accessibility and artistic integrity to satisfy the nightlife patrons and critics simultaneously.
