The Weeknd Won’t Be Joining Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ Tour in Europe
The news dropped via Live Nation on Wednesday (March 23). “Due to some unforeseen changes with upcoming projects, The Weeknd will no longer be joining Rihanna on her upcoming international Anti World Tour,” read the statement.
The change in plans may be due to The Weeknd’s newest endeavor. Earlier this week he tweeted “chapter done soon. Just let these pages flip” which many believe to be a hint towards a new project.
Either way, if we’ve learned anything, it’s that the Rihanna Navy goes on. RiRi has continued to make boss moves as her heralding tour launched in Florida two weeks ago.
Not only did she bring Drake onstage for a steamy performance of “Work,” she also made time to visit a young cancer patient with the Toronto rhymer. On top of that, she landed a shoe deal with Manolo Blahnik and slayed her cover of Vogue Magazine.
The Weeknd is celebrating some milestones of his own, as well; his debut mixtape, House of Balloons, reached its five year anniversary earlier this week.
As far as the tour goes, we know Travi$ Scott is still scheduled to go along for the ride with RiRi in North America while Big Sean is slated to join her in Europe. But, stay tuned in case anything changes. Check out the tour dates here.
