The Weeknd Gets Injured in Car Accident in ‘The Hills’ Video

Two days ago, the Weeknd posted an image of himself on Instagram with blood dripping down the side of his face. This made fans wonder what the 25-year-old singer was up to since he left no caption. Now it's clear the photo was taken while he was on set filming the video for his new song "The Hills," which arrived today.

"The Hills" is more in line with what fans are familiar with hearing from the Grammy Award-nominated artist. Dramatic, drug using and living life in the moment. "I only call you when it's half past, five / The only time that I'll be by your side / I only love it when you touch me, not feel me / When I'm f---ed up, that's the real me / When I'm f---ed up, that's the real me, yeah," he sings as he tries to walk away from a serious car accident.

Meanwhile, his passengers -- two women -- are in tears trying to get a reaction out of him, but he's numb to it all and continues to walk away. Injured and bleeding, Abel Tesfaye enters what appears to be an abandoned mansion and heads up the steps to a red-lit room. Inside, two women are positioned on a bed and an elder gentlemen sits beside him looking upset with the Weeknd's mess.

Prior to "The Hills" video dropping, three songs leaked from the singer's catalog. The Max Martin-produced "I Can't Feel My Face" (which is rumored to be the lead single off of his upcoming album), the pop-leaning "In the Night" and “In the ‘90s,” which finds Tesfaye singing, "These girls born in the ‘90s are dangerous."
