The Roots have announced a stellar lineup for their 10th annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. Music superstars Pharrell (backed by the Illadelph band), Solange and Lil Wayne and more are among the headliners for the pre-summer event.

Other performers set to hit the stage include 21 Savage, Thundercat, Pete Rock, PNB Rock, Khalid, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, DJ Spinna and more. This year’s event will place on June 3 at Philadelphia’s Festival Pier at Penn's Landing.

“Ten years ago, this [Roots Picnic] started [off] as a concept, an idea, a conversation between me, Tarik (Black Thought), Ahmir (Questlove) and Rich (Nichols),” says Shawn Gee, The Roots’ longtime manager (via Okayplayer). "It is amazing that it has grown into such a valued piece of the cultural landscape of our hometown of Philadelphia.”

True indeed. For a decade, the Roots Picnic has been the place to see a variety of artists in different genres. Previous artists who have headlined the festival include Rakim, Usher, De La Soul, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, Diplo, Nas and others.

“We are super excited to bring a packed lineup to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and as always there will be plenty of surprises and special guests," said Shawn Gee.
