The Game Buys a Mom $1,000 in Groceries [VIDEO]
The Game is paying it forward in a big way. The California native has a launched his “Yo Mama My Mama” campaign to encourage others to help other people’s mothers.
TMZ caught up with The Game has he was helping one mother with her food shopping. The 36-year-old rapper bought $1,000 in groceries at Ralph’s although it was discounted to $700 thanks to the woman using her Ralph’s frequent buyer card.
"I figure that with all the tragedy, all the brothers killing each other, cops killing brothers, brothers killing cops, the one thing that people care about the most, around the world, is their mothers," The Game said about his charitable campaign.
“So if we can pay it forward and make my mama, yo mama. And if you help somebody’s mom cross the street or if you ask her how her day is going, just do anything for someone else’s mother as if she was your own, the guy whose mother that is might not be inclined to do something to you based on your mother," he continued. "So it’s a different approach man, and it’s just at the end of the day this is what I’m doing."
For the past couple of weeks, The Game has been on a crusade of bringing positive reinforcements in his native hometown of Compton. Recently, him and Snoop Dogg held an anti-violence summit to encourage the Los Angeles gangs to stop the violence and increase the peace. In addition, Chuck Taylor attended a Black Hollywood meeting at Cedric the Entertainer's house where hundreds of celebrities discussed tactics to save black lives as it relates to black people and policing in America.
We salute The Game for his social activism in his Compton neighborhood. And props to Slim Thug and other Houston rappers who are doing their part to empower black people.
Let's keep it going!
