The-Dream is one of the great contemporary pop songwriters, so his fans took his impending solo retirement talk with a good deal of sadness. It looks like that break has come to pass, though. The-Dream has announced that he's heard his fanbase loud and clear and he's preparing to release another album of R&B manifestos in August.

He announced the news on the red carpet for the premiere of Justin Bieber's 3D documentary 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.' "Everybody's calling for an album now, so I should have one out by August," he said, breaking the news.

Last year, The-Dream was pretty clear that he wanted 'Love King' to be his final solo recording. "It's the last album, period," he told MTV at the time. "I really would like it to be the last one if I could -- in a perfect world." He then said that he would continue working with major pop artists and creating anthems on the scale of his big hits like Rihanna's 'Umbrella.'

He wasn't lying about that. Nash is currently working with Bieber on his upcoming album along with Kanye West, Kevin Cossom and Danja. He was short on details, but said he hoped Bieber would be OK with an edgier direction on his collaboration. "I can't give away that," he said when asked about the teen sensation's new material. "Somewhere between like Fergie and Jesus, somewhere in between there," he joked, referencing Kanye West's 'See Me Now.' "If I can get away with edgy, I would love it."
