Social media is a hell of a drug. Rapper Teriq Royal was recently shot in the head, but before he went to receive treatment for his wounds, he decided to post a video of himself and the bloody aftermath on Instagram.

"I got shot," said the Compton, Calif. native as blood spilled down his face. "I guess I'm really a rap n---- now, I just got shot. Me and my soldiers out here n-----," he continued in the uploaded video.

According to the Royal, he was hit by a stray bullet from an AK-47 and got three fragments stuck in his forehead -- just missing his skull and brain. "GOD IS REAL YALL!" he said. "I should've died that night but I felt God move me back just enough for the bullet to miss."

"I was almost on a T-shirt," he said.

The incident happened last Wednesday (Oct. 7) but the video is going viral now. The rhymer also posted a photo of his X-ray, which shows where the bullet struck. It seems adrenaline was in high volume too, at least according to Royal.

"I was in shock when I filmed this," he said of the video on Facebook "Three bullet fragments on my skull could have pierced my brain... I'm just blessed to see another day and rap about it.'

The video of the aftermath of the incident has already reached over 200,000 views on YouTube.
