Last week, Offset sparked controversy because of a line he rapped on YFN Lucci's new track, "Boss Life."

"Pinky ring crystal clear, 40k spent on a private Lear/60k solitaire/I cannot vibe with queers," Offset raps on the song.

Some people took the line to mean that Offset is homophobic and a debate erupted online. Offset later apologized, said he loves everyone and offered a dictionary reference in defense of his use of the word.

Now, his fiancé Cardi B isn't the only celebrity defending him—so is R&B singer TankTMZ caught the singer at LAX and asked him about the controversy.

"Queer is used for so many things," Tank says. "A lot of times in the rap world, they use queer to describe people who aren't cool or who are hating or doing whatever. They're 'queers,' not in the sense of their sexuality. It's completely separate from that."

He goes on to say that folks are just grabbing at something to be mad about, and he believes Offset's line was taken way out of context.

"I've been watching people take things out of context all week," the singer adds, laughing before saying that Offset shouldn't change the lyric because it was never meant that way in the first place.
