R&B hunk Tank had a run-in with the police on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 2).

According to TMZ, the 'Please Don't Go' singer was stopped by officers in Van Nuys, Calif., for driving while using his cell phone, which is illegal in the state.

But things took a bad turn when Tank allegedly refused to hand over his driver's license. The 38-year-old artist was subsequently arrested for failing to obey an officer. He was arrested and later released.

After that bit of bad news, the crooner seemed to be in good spirits while co-hosting the 'Steve Harvey Morning Show' on Friday (Oct. 3).

He also jumped on Instagram to let fans know that he will perform at his album release party in Baton Rouge, La., despite the arrest. "Don't let the media trick u! I'm on the way and we flexin on em tonight!! Yall ready??" he wrote.
