Talib Kweli and Niko IS Enjoy Some Palm Tree Vibes for Their ‘Smoke Somethin’ Visuals

Talib Kweli has never been shy of experimenting in his sound and lyrical content when it comes to his music, and his new collaborative album is proof of that. The Brooklyn native teamed up with Javotti Media for a joint project called Awful People Are Great At Parties, which has Kweli tapping into some new flows and themes.

On his next banger off of the album, "Smoke Somethin," Kweli and Javotti Media get a hand from Niko IS, as they come together in the name of Mary Jane. In their new set of visuals for the track, the squad gets trippy as they rap over a palm tree-infused background. While enjoying some smoke vibes, and drinks in their hands, the video's director made sure to give fans and viewers a feel of nostalgia as he inserted a VHS filter into the mix for the Phil 4 Real-produced song.

Kweli and Javotti Media surprised fans and dropped their collaboration together on November 3, and recruited a few special guests for the project including the likes of Problem, Scotty ATL, Big Gipp, Aloe Blacc, and more. While many fans can find the veteran rapper debating with Twitter trolls majority of the time, it's always great when he takes a break to give them some of the music they love.
