Waking up to news that a friend had passed away is how many rappers unfortunately began their day Sunday (May 17) after finding out that New York rapper Chinx had been gunned down. The hip-hop community is sharing sympathy for his family and friends on social media.

The hip-hop community has lost one of its own today. Rapper Chinx, formerly known as Chinx Drugz, was murdered in Queens, N.Y. early this morning (May 17).
