T.I. is no longer a free man. The rapper officially reported to Forrest City prison Monday (November 1) to begin his 11-month sentence for violating his probation after he was busted with ecstasy pills back in September. The Grand Hustle labelhead originally served seven months in the facility on a felony weapons possession charges stemming from a 2007 arrest.

According to TMZ, Tip will go through the "normal process" for incoming inmates, which includes taking a prison photo and receiving his bunk assignment. The 29-year-old, who for the next several months will be identified as Inmate #59458-019, has been issued the general prison uniform of khaki trousers, a khaki button down shirt and black shoes.

While some of Tip's fellow inmates expressed disdain towards the amount of press surrounding his return, others remained unbothered by their new high-profile neighbor. "I know a lot of people are complaining about all of the news cameras and all the press and everybody because he's here. I don't see what the big deal is," Forrest City resident Mallori Parkman told local news outlet Action News 5.

Leading up to beginning his sentence, Tip posted a final goodbye to fans Sunday (October 31) via his Twitter. "Hey yall #teamTI will be holding me down on this front with updates until I return," he wrote. "Thx for your continued support. In a minute....#NoMercy."

The 29-year-old father of six was arrested alongside his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, while driving on West Hollywood's Sunset Strip. Although they were initially pulled over for making an illegal U-turn, further search of their rented Mercedes Maybach, uncovered both ecstasy pills and codeine. Cottle has also been slapped with drug possession charges, and if convicted faces up to a year in jail.
