T.I. Offers Access to Video Shoot, Counts Down Days ’til Prison
With time winding down to the day he serves his one year prison bid, T.I. is keeping busy fulfilling his community service commitments. The rapper announced that he will auction off a behind-the-scenes visit to the set of his video shoot for 'Dead and Gone,' featuring Justin Timberlake.
Proceeds from the auction will go to Urban Farming, an organization dedicated to "alleviating poverty, eradicating hunger, and working towards a greener environment." Bidding ends Feb. 4, one day prior to the Los Angeles shoot date.
T.I. is also promoting his show 'Road to Redemption: 45 Days To Go,' which viewers can tune into next week. The show follows the Atlanta rapper as he helps impact the lives of seven teens.
"I'm proud of ['Road to Redemption']," he said in an interview during a private New York screening Monday. "We worked hard. It started in my house while I was in house arrest just as an idea. We didn't even know if I would leave my house to be able to do it. It just manifested, and I'm proud of it."

The 28-year-old has spoken candidly about what drove him to purchase firearms both on the release of his platinum album 'Paper Trail' and in the media. During the show's opening scenes T.I. recalls the murder of his best friend/assistant Philant Johnson and explains that paranoia and anger stemming from the traumatic event drove him to purchase the firearms for protection. "The one time I needed [a gun], I didn't have one," he says in the opening minutes.
The show will also take an in-depth look into T.I.'s home and business life. "You'll see all the things that go into what I do," he said. "The work I put in to maintain this level of success and stardom." The rapper also noted that he will miss his children the most while serving his one year sentence.
'Road to Redemption' premieres February 10 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
