T.I. to Celebrate Freedom Over Brunch, Drops New Verse
At the risk of underestimating the chefs employed by U.S. correctional facilities, we're guessing it's been a while since T.I. has had a decent mimosa or plate of eggs Benedict.
Maybe that's why the rapper is throwing a brunch this Sunday (Oct. 2) to celebrate the end of his 11-month incarceration. The Atlanta MC was convicted last year of violating his parole, and following a stint at a federal prison in Arkansas, he's finishing out his sentence in an Atlanta halfway house.
As TMZ reports, Sunday's brunch -- the first annual A King of Oneself affair -- will be quite a blowout, with Diddy shipping in 150 bottles of Ciroc and reps from T.I.'s clothing line, AKOO, busting out tape measures and fitting VIPs for custom-made party favors.
While T.I. hasn't released an album since 2010's 'No Mercy,' fans starved for new music are in luck -- sort of. Earlier today, the website Rap Radar debuted a DJ MLK remix of Future's 'Magic,' featuring a brand new T.I. verse.
In the coming weeks, the Grand Hustle CEO will branch off into other artistic mediums, dropping a novel, 'Power & Beauty,' on Oct. 18, and starring in a VH1 documentary set to air in December.
