It's been a few years since we heard new material from TLC, but member Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins promises that the upcoming album will remind fans of the band that they first fell in love with in 1992.

T-Boz and Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas have been working together on new material and a world tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary since their first song debut. Bandmate Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was tragically killed in a 2002 car accident.

In an interview with BBC at the MOBO Awards in England, T-Boz explained the future sound of TLC.

"We're going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time. We've always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That's what works for us and we don't have to worry about anybody else. When that stops working, maybe we'll hang up the towel, but that still works.

"We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it."

At the award show, T-Boz and Chilli were honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award.

The last record the pair released was 2002's 3D.

T-Boz is also currently working on a reality TV show for the TLC network.
