SZA Announces ‘I Quit’ on Twitter, Alludes to Problems with TDE

Is SZA having problems with her label Top Dawg Entertainment? That could be the case based on a tweet she sent earlier today (Oct. 4).

"I actually quit," wrote the singer in a now deleted tweeted. She also tagged the label's co-president Terrence "Punch" Henderson. "@IAmStillPunch can release my album if he ever feels like it.Ya'll be blessed."

A bit after, it seemed like Punch responded to SZA's tweet, although it's not clear since he didn't mention her name. "Lol," he wrote beneath a photo of the late actor Heath Ledger playing the Batman villain Joker.

Believe it or not, it's already been two years since the 25-year-old's Z mixtape dropped, which contains the well-received singles "Babylon" featuring Kendrick Lamar, "Child's Play" and "Warm," featuring label mate Isaiah Rashad, who's album, The Sun's Tirade, which dropped in September, was also delayed.

In Rashad's case, he said he wasn't focused on music due to a substance abuse problem, and it almost got him dropped from TDE by the label's CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith.

"He pressed me about a cut-off time," said the "Free Lunch" spitter.  "'Dog, you need to turn this s--- in.' He was like 'The next time, I'm gonna drop your a--'".

Rashad also talked about his mother seeing him high, which ultimately turned things around for him.

"My mom seen me faded," he admitted. "Then I [had a problem with] a lapsing memory ... It's like gaps in time, so I was like 'I don't really want that no more.' That was the worst, not remembering s---. There's a lot of s--- I don't remember."

As far as SZA, she hasn't sent a tweet or posted anything to social media since the tweet.

Was she just fooling around with that message? Was she simply trolling everyone? Moreover, will her anticipated A album ever see the light of day? Hopefully, all of these questions will be answered much sooner than later.
