After a 13 year hiatus, the ladies of SWV are back in the studio working on a follow-up to their 1997 album, 'Release Some Tension.' There had been speculation if the group would ever reunite, but according to gossip columnist Jawn Murray, "SWV have a fresh new look and is readying new music."

In an effort to come up with a new sound Coko, Lelee and Taj have teamed up with producers Carvin & Ivan, Shep Crawford, and Kelly Price. Confident about the group's reunion lead singer Coko says, "The music is coming together nicely. It feels really good to be singing with my girls again and I think our fans are really going to enjoy the songs."

SWV decided to pursue other ventures following their break up in 1997. The group did a blog in March on globalgrind.com called 'We're Back & We're Ready to Make You Weak Again' where each member gave an update about what they'd been doing since their last SWV album.

Lead singer Coko has since released two gospel albums. Lelee is in school pursuing an accounting degree and is a motivational speaker. And group member Taj has written a book, starred on the TV One Reality Show 'I Married A Baller' with her husband retired NFL star Eddie George in 2007, and was a contestant on the reality show 'Survivor: Tocantins' in 2009.

"I can truly say that Coko, Lelee and I are all grown up now, excited to be back and we are definitely ready to bring back the R&B feel the world has come to love and expect from us!", says group member Taj.

Currently, SWV is touring with Bell Biv Devoe, Keith Sweat, Blackstreet, After 7 and Tony Toni Tone on the 'New Jack Reunion' tour.

No word yet on a title or release date for their new album.
