Super producer Swizz Beatz will receive the Inspiration Award at SESAC's annual New York Awards ceremony next month. Swizz will be honored by the performing rights organization in recognition of his humanitarian efforts to raise money for Haiti. Following the catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit the country in January, Swizz co-wrote and co-produced the track 'Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)' alongside U2's Bono and the Edge.

"I'm humbled by this honor," Swizz told The BoomBox. "To know 'Stranded' was able to raise so much money for the people of Haiti really means a lot. We should continue to inspire each other to do amazing things for those less fortunate."

The song, which was performed by Jay-Z and Rihanna during the 'Help for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief' telethon was released to iTunes with all proceeds benefitting the country. Additionally Swizz has also worked with the United Nations to unify the entertainment community in the promotion of global peace.

SESAC's New York Awards will be held May 12 at Manhattan's IAC Building.
