The New York Knicks are looking to update their theme song to go with their new roster.

Having recently added Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to their lineup, the Amare Stoudemire-powered Knickerbockers have decided to revamp their 'Go NY Go' theme music, calling on the talents of Mr. Showtime himself, New York native Swizz Beatz.

"[Swizz] is from from the Bronx. [The Knicks] always try to get people that have that connection; people who they feel could really pay homage cause they represent that culture," said a rep for the producer. "Plus, [with] the new sizzle that they have with Carmelo and Amare, they want to give people an updated but still vintage song that reflects the old [song]. It's just a lil' more spicy."

Swizz's version of the song is scheduled to premiere during next week's playoffs, which the Knicks are participating in for the first time since 2004, playing their hated rivals the Boston Celtics.

Notable Knicks fans in the hip-hop community include Fat Joe, who was instrumental in bringing Amere to New York, Fabolous and up-and-comer Sha Stimuli, who recently released 'We Win (NY Knicks Anthem),' in support of the orange and blue.
