Swizz Beatz, revered for his stellar production work across the hip-hop and R&B landscape, scores the cover of Paper Magazine's Summer Music Issue, in which he opens up about his third studio album, 'Haute Living,' among other topics, including his famous friends and wife, Alicia Keys.

The 'Everyday (Coolin')' creator -- who also shares separate covers of the magazine with Brooklyn–based indie darling Santigold and pop star Joe Jonas -- discloses why he chose his new album's featured guests like Bono, Lenny Kravitz, Jay-Z, Kanye West, John Legend and Lil Wayne. "I thought that it was time people know who my friends are and who I'm affiliated with," Swizz expresses.

While the 32-year-old entertainer kept fairly quiet about his marriage with one of R&B's leading ladies, he did give some insight into what life is like beside her. "Being married to a public figure made people take a second look at me," he reveals. "I know who my fans are and I know who her fans are that come up to me. I'm cool about it, I'm happy to have some of her fans coming to say what's up."

The veteran beatmaker, and one-time Ruff Ryders affiliate, also offered his choice picks for audible treats this summer, which include 'Summertime,' DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince; 'Boomin' System,' LL Cool J; 'Dear Summer,' Jay-Z; 'This Is How We Do It,' Montell Jordan; and 'Jamming,' Bob Marley.

For Swizz Beatz' full interview, Paper Magazine's Summer Music Issue hits stands Wednesday (June 22).
