Suge Knight to Appear in PETA Ad

Over the years, Marion "Suge" Knight has been categorized as a tough as nails former record executive, but he truly has a softer side.

Knight will follow in the footsteps of Waka Flocka Flame by appearing in an ad for PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals). According to XXLMag.com, Knight will appear in the ad aimed at putting a stop to chaining dogs.

"Dogs deserve our love and attention not a life of 'solitary confinement' at the end of a chain," Knight said. "Dogs depend on us to take care of them, to keep them safe and healthy. Chaining a dog is one of the cruelest things you can to do them -- they are social animals."
While there is no word on what the ad will look like, Knight is expected to begin shooting for it in the next few weeks.

Knight became known as one of the primary figures in West Coast hip-hop in the late '90s, as the head of Death Row Records. Since losing his main artist, Tupac Shakur in 1996, the 46-year-old has fallen on hard economic times, filing for bankruptcy in 2006. He has also had his share of run-ins with the law, getting arrested for drunk driving, assaulting his ex-girlfriend, and getting into numerous brawls.

Knight has since started a new record label, Blackball Records, and announced that he is working on a reality show, which has not yet been picked up.
