Suge Knight Sued for Child Support

Former Death Row Records head Suge Knight is being taken to court for failing to make child support payments.

According to reports, papers have been filed in a Los Angeles court against the former gangsta rap mogul by a woman named Tammy Renell Hawkins, seeking child support for their 4-year-old, Taz.

Knight’s label, Death Row, was a west coast powerhouse, at one point the home to Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, The Dogg Pound, grossing over $100 million annually.

Unfortunately for Hawkins, those days are long gone. Knight’s current earnings are $1307 per month, so even if she wins her case, she stands to win only $302 per month to help raise their child.

Meanwhile, Death Row’s current owners, Lara Lavi and Wideawake Entertainment, who purchased its catalog in bankruptcy court for $18 million dollars, are in a legal battle of their own, with the company that financed the acquisition, New Solutions Financial Corp.
