Suge Knight just can't seem to catch a break lately. The former Death Row CEO was scheduled to appear in a Miami courtroom this week regarding a lawsuit he filed against Kanye West, but was unable to attend because of injuries sustained in a recent car wreck. "He was in a pretty serious car accident," Knight's lawyer Marc Brumer told The Miami New Times. "He lost a couple of teeth, he's in pain, and he can't speak."

In January 2009, Knight filed a federal lawsuit against West and Miami's posh Shore Club after being shot at a 2005 pre-MTV Video Music Awards party thrown by West. Suge was shot in the leg and had to undergo surgery. Knight claims that Kanye should be financially held responsible for his medical bills, his expenses for transporting him from Florida to Los Angeles, and a $135,000 diamond earring that he claims was stolen from him in the scuffle.

"People shouldn't underestimate Suge Knight," says Marc Brumer Knight's lawyer. "He's a very adept businessman. He's a mess, but he's sharp. Nobody likes Kanye West anymore. Even though he's still selling millions of records, everybody's sick of him."

In other news, Suge Knight made headlines last week for allegedly beating and robbing Luniz group member Yukmouth. Yukmouth released a statement following the allegations stating that Suge Knight didn't have had anything to do with him being assaulted and that the two have a good relationship. He instead placed blame on the Los Angeles Police Department and claimed that the officers have a vendetta against Knight and have been after Knight for years.
