Earlier this year, Soulja Boy claimed to be producing on Kanye West‘s ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.’ While his work never made the final cut, Kanye appears to have influenced Soulja’s modest new name choice. “DeAndre Way is my real name, Soulja boy is my rap name, straight like that,” Soulja told DC’s WKYS radio. “Call me what you want to call me. I prefer to be called Dre the Young Messiah. You can call me Mr. Swag.” Awesome. [WKYSDC]

Floyd Mayweather Sr. said that he does not want his son fighting Manny Pacquaio, and that he is “concerned for [his] son’s life,” but wouldn’t exactly say why. “If I was my son, I have my reasons why I would not fight that man. I would have my reasons for not fighting that little bitty man. I got my reasons why, and I ain’t got to tell nobody nothing. Everybody knows what time it is.” I actually don’t know what time it is. The Situation wants to win an Academy Award, yo! “My next goal is to be good in a good movie,” he said in a recent interview. “I dream of winning an Oscar.” Let’s bet. [CelebKiller]
