Soulja Boy, Ludacris Treat Fans to Free Concert
Soulja Boy Tell Em and Ludacris love their fans. To prove it, the rappers teamed with AT&T and performed at the Unofficial SEC Championship Game After Party at the Tabernacle in Atlanta on Saturday. "Everything is going digital now," Soulja Boy acknowledged at the AT&T sponsored event. Hopeful fans sent text messages for a chance to win a mobile ticket to the free concert. The first 1,000 lucky mobile ticket winners were admitted.
Newcomer Yung LA got the crowd warmed up as he performed the remix of his single 'Ain't I.' Soulja Boy followed shortly after Yung and ran through his hits, including the first single, 'Bird Walk,' off his upcoming album 'iSouljaBoyTellEm.' The 18-year-old rapper bounced around the stage, breaking into every dance that accompanies his chart-topping tunes, and wrapped up his set with the popular 'Crank That (Soulja Boy).'
Ludacris stormed the stage and brought it home in his hometown. The rapper/actor performed 'MVP,' 'Last of a Dying Breed' and 'One More Drink' off his new album, 'Theater of the Mind,' before launching into a few classics. The Atlanta native shouted out the entire nation when he performed 'Area Codes' and went global with 'Pimpin' All Over the World.' He brought it back home with his club hits 'Throw Dem Bows' and 'Act a Fool.' The local crowd made sure to show their hometown boys major support, but it was a guest appearance by Ciara that made the audience go wild.
