    "Real People"

    Ice Cube & Common

There was plenty of rap beefs between artists during the 1990s. One of the more notables ones was a rift between Ice Cube and Common, which led both releasing scathing diss records attacking one another. Fortunately, the beef was kept on wax and cooler heads prevailed, but twenty years after their showdown, the two rappers-turned-actors have teamed up for a track called "Real People." The song, which will be featured on the soundtrack to Ice Cube's new movie, Barbershop: The Next Cut, features the two hip-hop vets speaking on positive living and spreading love to one another. Both legendary in their own right and regarded as top-tier lyricists, Cube and Common deliver solid verses over the upbeat production, resulting in one of this week's more noteworthy songs.

"Just A Lil Thick (She Juicy)"

Trinidad James Featuring Mystikal and Lil Dicky

Trinidad James continues to put out solid releases and may have scored his best track yet since his "All Gold Everything" fame. His latest track, "Just A Lil Thick (She Juicy)," features Mystikal and Lil Dicky paying homage to the curvy ladies and the BBW set over groovy production, courtesy of DJ Mustard. Rapping "She ain't fat bruh, she's just a lil thick / She ain't fat bruh, she's just a lil thick / Anything the slim h--s can do, she can do it better / Anything the slim h--s can do, she can do it better" on the song's hook, James and Mystikal align themselves with those against body-shaming before. Lil Dicky may seem like an odd addition to this rump-shaker, but sounds right at home, turning in a quality verse and anchoring the track with his witty musings. "Just A Lil Thick (She Juicy)" has the potential to be a big deal and earns Trinidad James a spot on this list.

    "Come and See Me"

    PARTYNEXTDOOR Featuring Drake

It's been nearly two years since the people have gotten a proper release from PARTYNEXTDOOR, but from the looks of things, the Canadian singer is gearing up to give the game what it's been missing. Liberating a new treat, "Come See Me," which features a guest appearance from Drake. On the song, PND sings lyrics about his lady's yearning for his company during the wee hours of the morning when he's out with the fellas. Lines like "I hit you up like "Do you wanna hang right now?" / On the East Side and you know I'm with the gang right now / You say do I own a watch, do I know what time it is right now / It's after 2AM and that's asking a lot of you right now," resonate with people of all genders and makes this song perfect for the bedroom. Drake swoops in for the kill on the third verse, lending his own vocal prowess to the affair and sprinkling his midas touch on the track. There's still no official release date for P3, but if "Come See Me" is any indication, it will be more than worth the wait.
