It’s the weekend! We have a playlist of good music to help prepare you for the impending turn-up or to just fall back and rock out to with your friends. We’ve got you covered with The Boombox’s Best Songs of the Week, where we bring you some of the noteworthy tracks of the past seven days.

Last week's lineup featured new songs from Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake. This week we managed to narrow it down to three songs that caught our ears.

In our latest edition of Songs of the Week, we have a trio of new tracks from veteran mixtape king DJ Drama, R&B singer Lloyd and hip-hop's current man of the hour, Chance The Rapper.

    "Wishing"

DJ Drama Featuring Chris Brown, Skeme, Lyquin

While names like DJ Clue and Funkmaster Flex may have introduced the superstar DJ to the mainstream, no DJ has had as much of an impact on the direction of hip-hop over the past decade than DJ Drama. The Atlanta transplant and Philly native is ready to liberate his long-awaited project, Quality Street Music 2, and gives fans a sample of what to expect with a new single, "Wishing." The song features Chris Brown, Skeme, and Lyquin. Breezy and upstart Lyquin tackles the vocals while Skeme handle the rapping and deliver a steamy cut perfect for riding out on those late-night excursion to see shorty.

    "Tru"

    Lloyd

Murder Inc. castaway Lloyd may have been M.I.A. as of late, but the Atlanta singer is back and looking to regain his footing in the R&B game. Unleashing his latest single, "Tru," the talented balladeer apologizes for keeping the fans on standby while lamenting his recent trials and tribulations and pleads with fans to accept him for who he is at his core. Produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, "Tru" is hopefully just the first domino in Lloyd's ride back to prominence and stands as one of this week's most noteworthy tunes.

    "No Problem"

Chance the Rapper Featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne

Chance the Rapper released his long-awaited project, Coloring Book, which is one of the biggest releases of 2016. The Chicago rhymer offered up this song featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne hours ahead of Coloring Book's official release. Fans couldn't wait to enjoy this enticing appetizer before his main musical entree. "No Problem" takes the crown as our top pick for Songs of the Week, which gives Chance yet another win this past week.
