    "Making a Murderer"

    Black Thought Featuring Styles P.

Whenever two veteran rhyme-spitters rap politics over a dope beat, the occasion is one to be celebrated. Black Thought and Styles P. did just that this week, blessing rap fans with some lyrical gymnastics on their new song, "Making a Murderer." On the song, the two East Coast lyricists spill bars over production by 9th Wonder. According to the North Carolina producer, the three had been discussing a collaboration for a while, and "Making a Murderer" is the culmination of their mission to provide some quality hip-hop for those starving for it.

    "Spend The Night"

    PnB Rock Featuring Fetty Wap

PnB Rock has seen his profile skyrocket over the past year as he builds his brand one infectious song at a time. The Philadelphia native's latest offering, "Spend The Night," is a collaboration with Fetty Wap that sees the two rap yodelers setting the mood for the ladies over production by JGramm. Fetty Way commandeers the track from the rip, delivering melodious lines, while PnB lends his own swagger to the track on the second verse and turns in a favorable performance. The end result is an enticing tune that gets The Boombox nod of approval.

    "Gangsta Boogie"

J Dilla Featuring Snoop Dogg and Kokane

It's been a decade since the late studio maestro J Dilla passed away, but his legacy as a hip-hop deity grows more evident as the years go by. With a new posthumous album, titled The Diary, on deck for release, we are hit with a posthumous track from Dilla featuring Snoop Dogg and Kokane called "Gangsta Boogie." Produced by Hi-Tek, the song features Dilla flexing vocally over the beat, rapping "In the D strapped for whatever happens / Whatever cat rappin' that bullcrap we pull that / Dilla with the capital letters / N----s deliver it good, Dilla just be rapping it better." Snoop also comes equipped with a few bars of his own, barking "Willing to fulfilling while I'm chillin' / Crip appealing with my n---- J Dillin', illin' / Still in the motherf---in' place to be / I show you motherf---ers how a gangster G." "Gangsta Boogie" sees the Motor City connecting with the Golden State to create one of this week's top releases.
