Solange is no stranger to reaching left-field for musical inspiration. Fans have a chance to hear that experimentation on 'Saint Heron,' the compilation record that features artists from the singer's label, Saint Records.

The project is less about making potential radio songs and more about showcasing the label's talents. The moody 'Saint Heron' features 12 other artists, including Jhene Aiko ('Drinking and Driving') -- who dropped her 'Sail Out' EP today -- and Sampha ('Beneath the Tree'), who rose to the mainstream consciousness because of his feature on Drake's 'Nothing Was the Same.'

Another standout is Cassie ('Indo'), who released the critically praised 'RockaBye Baby' mixtape earlier this year.

Despite the notable features, Solange previously noted that she wanted 'Saint Heron' to focus on the newer talents.

“With Saint Heron I really wanted to celebrate and continue to cultivate the community for genre defying R&B artists,” Solange said in a press release. “I’ve personally connected with all of these extremely talented artists, and really excited for us to come together through the compilation as a new movement for music.”

Other features include Kelela ('Go All Night'), Los Angeles duo BC Kingdom ('Lockup'), Starchild ('Relax') and Iman Omari ('Energy').
