Solange Hospitalized After Nyquil Mishap
R&B singer Solange Knowles was hospitalized Tuesday after passing out from ingesting a little too many Nyquil pills. The 22-year-old took the pill form of the popular "night time sniffling sneezing, so you can rest medicine" while on a flight out of New York.
While on the flight Knowles hit up her page on the popular networking site Twitter to chronicle her sickness. "I took a Nyquil and I think maybe I'm getting high off it because I'm not sleeping. Maybe I should close my eyes..." she wrote.
The postings became increasingly bizarre as she twittered that she may have taken too many pills. "Think I'm certified loosing (sic) it on Nyquil... going to sleep before I start free styling on the plane. OMG (Oh my God) I didn't know Nyquil could do this to you. I took the pills tho... can't stomach cough syrup... trying to be proactive on this flight." Another one of her strange postings included writing about singers who had "freezing feet."
Three hours later she stopped writing stating that she was going to get some sleep. Three hours after that she wrote to fans: "Whoa how did I end up in the hospital?"
While being treated Knowles informed doctors that she had taken the Nyquil pills for her cold. She was given a clean bill of health and sent on her way. She later wrote: "I'm out! yay!... they let me go..... Rest. Water. Rest. Water."
Knowles was on a flight heading back to her home in Los Angeles following the opening of the Armani store in New York City.
The younger sister of Beyonce Knowles, Solange is known to be the more outspoken of the two. Last year she released her sophomore album 'Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams.'
