Some of music's biggest names, including Snoop Dogg, Usher, David Banner, Good Charlotte's Benji Madden and Brandy, got a chance to show off their basketball skills Sunday as they took to the hardwood to participate in A Midsummer Night's Dream, which benefits youth charities.

Snoop, playing for Baron Davis's team, showed himself to be a monster on the boards early, including one Moses Malone-esque sequence in which he gathered four offensive rebounds in a row. While he showed some skills as a point guard, hitting Banner on two picture-perfect fast breaks, Snoop later said his true calling is at center: "I like playing like a big man. I like getting rebounds and staying hard in the paint."

Usher, playing on Paul Pierce's team, showed some fancy footwork and got the crowd going early with a coast-to-coast layup.

And while the NFL's Jerry Porter and Terrell Owens showed off their all-around athletic prowess with a couple of monster dunks, it was Mississippi's own Banner who walked away with the game's MVP honors, leading Davis's team to a 50-42 win. He cemented the win with a late-game sequence in which he hit a turnaround jumper and then blocked a shot on the other end. "We from Mississippi ," he joked after the game. "If we can't shoot the ball, we'll put an elbow on your ass."
