Merging rap and rock can be a tricky proposition. Sometimes, you end up with a gem like the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage,' or you end up with an album like Lil Wayne's 'Rebirth.' Therefore, it's no surprise that Electronic Arts waited this long to introduced a rap artist into their flagship 'Rock Band' game. That special artist is none other than Snoop Dogg.

A new bundle for the 'Rock Band' game is slated to come out on Tuesday (Sept. 7) that will feature eight tracks from Snoop. These include fan favorite 'Drop It Like It's Hot,' old school single 'Who Am I (What's My Name)?' and the sultry sing-speak of 'Sensual Seduction.'

"I consider myself an OG gamer, and to be chosen as the first hip hop artist to appear in Rock Band ... well, it doesn't get any better than that, ya dig?" said Snoop in a statement about his new bundle of songs. "I know my fans gonna get down with tha Pound with this one and tha youngsters really gonna realize who started this gamer ish, u hear me?"

Our first order of business: Download 'Beautiful' and play until we get 100 percent on Pharrell's chorus. Each individual track is priced at $1.99, but you can download the whole bundle for $13.99. The pack is available on Xbox next week and all other systems that support 'Rock Band' by the end of September.
