Snoop Dogg and Family Tour the White House
When Snoop Dogg completed his now Grammy-nominated reggae album ‘Reincarnated,’ he dreamed of performing for President Obama at the White House, but didn’t know what song he could perform since his music is so hardcore. Well, dreams do come true as the veteran rhyme-slinger and his family visited the White House.
The Doggfather was an honorary guest for the 36th annual Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month. The ‘Gin & Juice’ rhymer performed a special tribute to jazz icon Herbie Hancock during the event, which will air Sunday night (Dec. 29) on CBS.
Dressed in a fitted tuxedo, Snoop toured the White House, along with his wife, Shante, and his daughter Cori B. Off camera, President Obama kissed Shanti on the cheek, while Snoop shared a fist bump with Secretary of State John Kerry.
“They done let me up in here, dawg, and I got my wife and my daughter,” said Snoop in a YouTube video. “We at the White House doing it big. Now what?”
It’s safe to say that Snoop Dogg has finally made it. Word to Drake.
