Raekwon, C-N-N and Busta Rhymes aren’t the only rappers planning and releasing sequels to their classic albums. Snoop Dogg is the latest to hop on the bandwagon. A video of Snoop and Swizz Beatz in the studio has surfaced announcing that 18 tracks have been laid down for ‘Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary,’ the sequel to Snoop’s classic 1993 debut ‘Doggystyle.’

“The album is ‘Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary,’ Be on the lookout for it, you bitch,” Snoop says in the video. “[Swizz] just laced my boots up for my new record. Motherf—er gave me some gangsta s—, some Crips s—, some R&B s—, some hip-hop s—, some hard s—, mean s—.”

“That’s how we used to do it back in the day,” said Swizz of the ample number of tracks laid to tape. “It used to be about the sound, not the single. So right now, we constructing sounds for the album.”

Snoop, who recently hit the studio with Kanye West, is following up last year’s ‘Malice N Wonderland,’ which hit stores in December ’09. The album had the lowest selling debut of his career, selling only 59,000 copies in its first week. ‘Malice’ continued on to sell upwards of 400,000 units, while Snoop also released a sequel ‘More Malice’ the following year. That album has sold more than 40,000 copies since it bowed this past March.
