20 years ago, way before he became a lion, Snoop was a young pup on the streets of Long Beach recording demos as one third of the group 213 alongside Nate Dogg (R.I.P.) and G-Funk ambassador Warren G. Before Snoop and company hit it big on Death Row Records they were a local act whose DIY cassette tapes you could find at places like L.A.'s famous Slauson Swap Meet. Now decades later Stones Throw records producer/singer and local L.A. legend DâM-FunK has unearthed a pre-Dr. Dre demo version of Snoop's Doggystyle posse cut and unselfish love anthem "Ain't No Fun (If The Homies Can't Have None)."

In between the pops and hisses of the 20 year-old tape copped at the Swat Meet we hear the flashes of brilliance that would make the polished version of this song a modern classic. Listen to the O.G. version of the song below and thank DâM-FunK for posting this gem on his Soundcloud page.
