Snoop Dogg has had several sneaker deals during his career so seeing him join forces with another brand should come as no surprise. There is a "wow" factor here due to Adidas naming the rapper the Director of Football Development along with giving him a slick new trainer for release.

The Adidas Gameday Trainer features a suede and leather upper depicting the Dogg himself in the form of -- you guessed it -- a dog as homage to his debut music video, "Who Am I (What's My Name)?" Despite its gold midsole and studded accents, the fully functional trainer looks like it could handle quick cuts on the field. However, chances are that we'll catch them onstage as a DJ spins tunes on the turntables behind Snoop while he's performing.

Snoop's Adidas collection will also include an Adizero 5-Star 4.0 Uncaged Cleat and both shoes will drop at Undefeated in Los Angeles on May 29. If you can't be in L.A. to cop them on that date, you can look forward to a wider release on June 1.
