Snoop Dogg recently gave back to his fan in a big way. The 44-year-old rhymer handed out 1,500 turkeys to family in need at the Forum in Los Angeles last Thursday (Nov. 19).

The "Gin & Juice" rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, Jr., teamed up with Inglewood, Calif. Mayor James Butts to participate in the second annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. Residents of Inglewood were able to meet the Doggfather and snap selfies while grabbing a turkey for the holidays.

"Snoop Dogg took pictures with over 800 people at the event," Butts told KNBC-TV. "We had a tented area for seniors to sit in, and the first thing he did was go over to take pictures with everyone there."

This isn't Snoop's first Thanksgiving giveaway. The veteran rapper passed out 800 turkeys last year. Snoop then reached out to Mayor Butts to see how he could do more for his Inglewood community and he suggested this giveaway.

With the holiday season upon us, it’s always good to see rappers give back to their communities. Props to Snoop Dogg for his charitable endeavors.
