While the gunman responsible for last Friday's (Dec. 16) fatal shooting of rapper Slim Dunkin remains at large, police in Atlanta believe they know what led to the killing: a small piece of candy.

According to WSBTV, the 20-year-old Brick Squad affiliate snatched a sweet from another man's hands, and in the ensuing fight, things got out of hand.

"This fight spilled out into this area where he was attacked," said detective David Quinn. "Based on the evidence we have, whoever he was fighting with secured a weapon and shot him."

The shooting took place at an Atlanta recording studio hours before the MC was due on the set of Gucci Mane and V-Nasty's 'Push Ups' video. Slim rapped on the track and appeared on the duo's 'BAYTL' street LP.

Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, was also associated with Waka Flocka Flame, and earlier this year, the pair collaborated on their second joint mixtape, 'Twin Towers 2.'

No witnesses have come forward, and Atlanta police are asking anyone with information to call 404-577-TIPS.
