Skillz Sums Up 2009 With Annual ‘Rap Up’

Virginia rapper Skillz' annual 'Rap Up' reports have become an institution. Every year, we wait to hear Skillz' take on the year in rhyme, and this year we had a lot to laugh/shake our heads at.

Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I., Jay-Z, the Black Eyed Peas vs. Perez Hilton, and Lady Gaga all made the cut this year, but some incidents received more attention; such as Lil Mama's stunt during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' MTV performance, and Tiger Woods' issues with monogamy.

"The idiot of the year is Tiger Woods/Can you say fail?/Who else is named Tiger/Why would you leave your name on the voicemail?" Skillz spit, before going in on Lil Mama. "And we was all shaking our heads at Lil Mama/ Like, why was you on stage/Nobody gave you a que/And with a head that big/You should have thought that through."
Skillz also touched on Chris Brown's assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna, criticizing the pair for the way they both manipulated the media after the attack. "Chris Brown, now that's my guy/But how he do an interview, and all y'all notice was the bow tie?" Skillz quipped. "The media went hard/Chris you want us to forget/Just say what really happened in the car/Rihanna, she kept quiet/Until she had an album to sell/But we still ain't buy it."

Other 2009 events mentioned included Nas and Kelis' divorce, the Rick Ross and 50 Cent beef and the death of the King of Pop.
