Shaggy caught up with his fans on Feb. 12 when he stopped by The Boombox and took part in a Twitter takeover to reveal some interesting tidbits about his career.

By tweeting using the hashtag #ShaggyBoombox, the Grammy-Award winning reggae crooner was able to address both longtime and newer fans as he talked about his favorite song to perform, musical influences like Bob Marley and Super Cat, and collaborating with fellow reggae legends Maxi Priest.

The “I Need Your Love” singer even hinted at a future North American tour and the advice he would give himself when he started out in the music business 20 years ago.
