Canadian rapper/singer k-os recently discussed his song "I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman," "It really was just a last minute kinda [title], because [Saukrates] was gonna put the song out under the name "On The Run" and my publisher called and said, "Yo, so you can't call it 'On The Run,' what do you wanna call it?" And I was like hung-over and I just said "I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman." [And he was like], "Are you serious?" That was the first thing at the end of my brain, and sometimes when things just come like that to my brain – much like when I'm writing music – I just go with it so..." So basically a lot of thought goes into your music. That's cool. [HipHopDx]

Swizz Beatz credits Q-Tip and Pharrell for putting him onto the french group Justice, whose 2007 hit "D.A.N.C.E." he sampled for Jay-Z's "On to the Next One," about 2 years after the rest of the world heard it at every single party/club and got tired of it. "To be honest, Q-Tip and Pharrell put me onto Justice," Swizz told MTV News. "We had a long conversation on the phone, and they were like, 'Yo, you need to get onto this Justice joint.' I knew the sound, but I didn't know the name of the sound that I was liking. They were calling me back, like, 'Yo, did you get the Justice stuff yet?' Nah, nah, I'm on it. I was on vacation or something, and they called me again, and they were like, 'Yo, did you get the Justice joint? We're going to stay on top of you!'" That's kind of embarrassing. Meanwhile what do you think of this MGMT group? [MTV]
