After winning Favorite Male Artist in the Pop/Rock category, Sam Smith serenaded the American Music Awards audience Sunday night (Nov. 23) with his hit ‘I’m Not the Only One.’

The singer, dressed in his signature white button shirt and long black suit jacket, lead the audience in a full out sing-a-along. But the crowd got especially excited when A$AP Rocky joined him to rap his verse on the song.

"For months on end I've had my doubts / Denying every tear / I wish this would be over now / But I know that I still need you here," the British native sings.

The performance was sweet and brief and the standing ovation confirmed why Sam was crowned the best.

Sam tapped Rocky for the remix to the track in September. The original song appears on the crooner's debut LP, 'In the Lonely Hour.'
