Salt-N-Pepa gave a funky performance at the Billboard Music Awards with a medley of throwback hip-hop hits.

A testament to female empowerment, they opened with "Shoop," before heading into "Let's Talk About Sex" with Ne-Yo  on the hook. Of course, the performance of their 1987 hip-hop classic, "Push It" was a huge moment as well. The track made Salt-N-Pepa the first female rappers to crack the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

They were also joined by huge 90s group, En Vogue for a rendition of their 1993 mega hit, "Whatta Man," which became their highest charting song, reaching no. 3 on the Hot 100. The track was featured on their album, Very Necessary. At the end, Kelly Clarkson joined in for the energized performance.

“So much fun," En Vogue's Terry Ellis told Billboard about the performance. "It feels great. We can relax now. It was a little nerve-wracking but we had so much fun.”

Salt-N-Pepa are also kicking off a Las Vegas residency later this year. Check out a clip of the vibrant performance below.
